Jonathan graduated from York University in 2005 with a Specialized Honour Degree in Psychology and obtained his law degree at Osgoode Hall Law School in 2010 graduating with a Juris Doctor (JD) designation. Since graduating from law school, Jonathan has worked exclusively in the area of family law with diverse clientele at all stages of the separation process including negotiations, mediation, arbitration, and litigation. Jonathan regularly appears before the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice, and often spearheads multiple judicial conferences, regular and long motions, and trials of various complexity.
Jonathan’s specialized experience includes working with clients helping to negotiate domestic contracts, including cohabitation agreements, marriage contracts, and separation agreements; as well as negotiating and implementing resolutions to child custody (decision-making authority) and visitation issues, child support and spousal support, and property division and the equalization of family property. Jonathan has extensive litigation experience and routinely works with his clients while navigating the judicial system, appearing before judges at various levels of the litigation process in multiple jurisdictions.
Jonathan is a family man and understands the importance of a reasonable resolution to family law issues. Jonathan strives to ensure his clients are able to continue exercising the same standard of devotion to their family following their separation when compared to before separation. During his spare time, Jonathan is an avid adventurer and enjoys outdoor activities including hiking, skiing, snowboarding, atving, and recreational activities. Jonathan is also an avid beekeeper hobbyist and manages over 30 beehives year-round.
